Patient Name : Twinkle Dwivedi,
Age - 14 (at the time of online Info i.e. arround Sept. 2010)
Nationality / Relion : Indian / Hindu.
Symptoms - Spontaneously Bleeding from her pores upto 50 times in a single day, i.e. she loses blood through her skin without being cut / scratched. She has even undergone transfusions after pints of it seeped through her eyes, nose, hairline, near neck and near soles of her feet.
Dr. George Buchanan, a leading haematologist who has worked in Britain, travelled to India to look in the startling case. She (patiet- Twinkle) is from Lucknar, Uttar Pradesh, and suffering from last three years (as per online information available); Dr. George Buchanan said "I've never seen a case of someone who bleeds spontaneously from their scalp or their palms, but i read about it in Medical History.
He also do several blood clotting test(s); he explain this as a clotting disorder, which means her platelets do not stick together properly, but this is not enough to explain the spontaneous bleeding
Dr. Buchanan is also investigating whether Twinkle or her mother cause the bleeding themselves.
Twinkle has missed at least two years of education after two schools baned her from classes because of the bleeding disorder.
Her family also visited to a local mystic, being examined by a Christian Bishop for stigmata, and bathing in the River Ganga.
